Investing in Food Security Across Africa
Building Africa’s Food Future
We move food from surplus regions to areas of need, reduce waste, and empower traders.
We connect farmers, traders, and vendors across Africa to create a stronger, more efficient food system. By moving surplus produce from regions of plenty to areas facing shortage, we reduce post-harvest waste, stabilize prices, and promote fair trade. Our mission is to empower local communities, improve market access, and build long-term food security across the continent.

Our Solution for a Stronger Food System
We are developing an intra-African food supply chain investment fund to strengthen local markets and reduce waste. By channeling capital into surplus regions, we purchase excess produce, stabilize prices, and ensure food reaches areas of need. Our model addresses structural imbalances, improves logistics, and builds long-term resilience across Africa’s interconnected food systems for farmers and traders alike.
- Tackle bottlenecks in logistics and distribution
- Reduce post-harvest losses by buying surplus crops
- Provide stable markets for smallholder vendors
- Empower traders with data and fair pricing models
Who We Serve?
We serve market vendors in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in West Africa. Many are women and young entrepreneurs operating with little capital and limited institutional support. They face erratic supply, high costs, and constant regulatory pressures. For many, keeping a stall stocked is not just a business challenge but a matter of survival for their families. At InvestMerchants, we ensure these vendors have reliable access to quality produce at affordable prices, giving them stability to grow their businesses and support their communities.
